The delegation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Tolerance participated in the World Volunteer Conference 2016 in Mexico, which kicked off yesterday, at the invitation from the International Volunteerism Association with the aim to work on building bridges of communication with the organizations and bodies involved in volunteerism for young people.
The objective of Award’s participation is to acquire the mechanisms and procedures of volunteerism and how to utilize the same with young people in the United Arab Emirates and to work out a future plan organizing the volunteerism work of the Award.
The Award delegation included HE Ahmed Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Tolerance and Mr. Khalifa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of Operations at the Award.
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation met with His Excellency Ahmed Menhali, UAE Ambassador to Mexico who attended the conference in support of the Award and its efforts. During that meeting, ways to enhance the Award’s relationship with other existing international organizations in Mexico were discussed.
This year, the conference was under the motto: volunteering for social change presents a powerful way to bring about change in all societies, in addition to that it contributes to the personal development of individuals and working towards making a real difference in the lives of others.
