Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for World Peace was established by Decree 19 of 2011, to accurately and fairly highlight Islam’s teachings of peace, as a doctrine that promotes harmony, tolerance and moderation. The Award also aims to build bridges of cooperation between diverse cultures, thereby fortifying international relations.

The Award endeavours to recognize individuals and organizations that make outstanding contributions to peace and humanitarian pursuits. Nominees will be evaluated according to world-class standards, to ensure credibility and motivate higher accomplishments.
